YOUR INFORMATION ON RETIRED BUT ACTIVE

We store two types of information that we receive from you

  1. Your registration and personal profile data including the e-mail address and name that you use for your Retired but Active account including the Interest groups to which you belong and your most recent activity on the site.
  2. The material you post to your blogs, interest areas, galleries etc.
    We do not record or store any other data.

PERSONAL DATA

We encourage you to use a Nickname and a separate e-mail address for your RbA access (see our Internet Security pages) so that your personal data is protected. To this end we ask only:

  • The area in which you live rather than your postal address
  • Your general interests

and never ask for Bank of Credit Card details so that no one can use data from Retired but Active for financial gain.

We do not collect data about you from any other source.

AGE RELATED DATA

Retired but Active is targeted at the over-50s age group and although we cannot prevent others from entering and registering on the site we remove any member, without appeal or notice, found to be under-18.

SHARING OR SELLING YOUR DETAILS TO THIRD PARTIES

The little information we collect from you is of limited commercial value to third parties, but should we be approached by credible third parties we will pass your data to offset the cost of operating the site.
We do reveal this information,

  1. on lawful request, to the agents of law enforcement or if demanded in legal search procedures, or
  2. if we feel it necessary to operate the site within the law
  3. with your agreement in case of special offers, competitions etc.

SALE OF RETIRED BUT ACTIVE

Should Retired but Active be sold to a third party at some time in the future, the limited information you have provided with be transferred to the new owners.

YOUR POSTS

Posted material will be treated according to our Editorial Guildelines which in summary say:

  1. That material posted to Retired but Active remains your property but posting it to Retired but active grants Retired but Active a non-exclusive right to publish it
  2. That you remain responsible for such material and hold Retired but Active harmless against any claim of any kind arising therefrom
  3. That Retired but Active is not responsible for storing and preserving your material of from any harm arising from loss of such material.

And provides a list of prohibitions relating to the type of material that may be posted.
